The MILLBANK BAG was developed by the British army early in the 1900’s to aid soldiers in filtering water.  The design facilitates a consistent flow of water through the bag and directs it through the narrow bottom of the bag.  The MILLBANK BAG is an excellent turbidity filter and companion to new modern water purification systems.  By removing turbidity as a preliminary step outdoorsmen can preserve their modern water purification systems.  The MILLBANK BAG saves expensive purification filters from clogging up prematurely.  Furthermore, even if boiling water in the field to purify it, turbidity filtration is a critical first step.
