Description
So, just because you are camping does not mean hygiene is irrelevant. It is still very important, especially in the event of first aid, handling food or any other number of reasons. Fact is, we still need soap and water on the trail. However, we all know that carrying and making easy use of soap and a washcloth while camping can be less than ideal. It’s hard to get dirty hands, face and other areas clean in trail conditions without a washcloth and keeping debris off a damp bar of soap is not easy either. Soapboxes are ok for the soap but the washcloth is always kind of an annoyance. Hang it on a limb, right, just know you will always find it on the ground later.
As kids growing up in WV our mothers would not let us take the good bathroom linens into the woods. Their answer was simple, sew a bar of soap into a scrap piece of cotton cloth. We had soap and washcloth all in one and when the soap was all used up, our moms made us a new one. At OPSG we had the idea to add the loop of cordage. This solves the falling on the ground issue pretty well. We showed these off last October at a show by the end of day one none were left.
