Marsupial Haverpack

 

The MARSUPIAL HAVERPACK is a new direction in haversack design.   It is every bit a haversack, but it is also a fully functional daypack size backpack.  It has unmatched functionality as a haversack and is an ideal size and configuration.  However, the ability to deploy it as a backpack is where it really stands out.  The bag can be configured in shoulder carry, cross body carry, backpack carry or framed pack carry set ups offering an unmatched level of versatility in the field in real time!  The best part is these different configurations are easy to do and everything needed can be carried on board ready to use.  This bad adapts to you, the kit, the trail and the conditions on demand.

The MARSUPIAL HAVERPACK is a variant of the MARSUPIAL HAVERSACK qwhich was a purpose driven concept. I wanted to offer a haversack that could easily pack away into a backpack like a traditional style haversack when you are not using it. However, I also wanted it to be as useful and versatile as a three-dimensional construction haversack. 

When empty this will fold up and stow in any pack but when in use it fills out to a 12" x 14" x 3" haversack.  This is possible by using a single cut of cloth, strategically placing pleats and folds to form it and then it is sewn into place.  The same pleats and folds are then permeant.  Therefore, the haversack expands as you fill it working like a three-dimensional bag.  This design is also extraordinarily strong because of its single cut construction.  There are no joined cuts of fabric where seams could fail.

This haversack is also appointed with some great features. It has a tube sewn into the flap that will accommodate an axe, saw, squirrel cooker or another tool and it has a roll mount on the bottom.  A grab handle and a generous body shoulder strap are included.  The closures for the bag are our OPSG TOGGLE TABS that are part of our FIELD FRIENDLY design. They can be adjusted to allow you to overstuff the bag just like a buckle and strap system.  Also, the haversack can be customized by simply replacing the 550 cord and toggles with something the user prefers.
